Under the skilled direction ot' physical edu- cation teachers, Washington students generate energy and enthusiasm throughout their daily classes. Games and exercises provide healthy outlets for emotions of students. Health, the study of our physical and emotional problems, creates an understanding of the human organ- ism. Made with my own two hands. Mary Jones and Steve Smothers create useful articles in craft arts class. Artists create minor masterpieces Displaying their creativity, Continental artists line the halls of Washington with minor masterpieces. Drawing, painting, or sketching, pupils exhibit imagination and talent on canvas. Craft arts courses offer students opportunities for creating such articles as modern art in plas- ter of paris and in string designs. Posters made by the commercial art classes were displayed in post offices to encourage early mailing at Christ- mas. Continental artwork, long noted for ex-- cellence, captured forty-eight blue ribbons, gold keys, or honorable mention awards at the Cen- tral Indiana Regional Art Exhibition Contest. The quality of workmanship of pupils entitled Washington to rank second in the state. Artists at work. Displaying art projects, Mona Hut- ton and Bill Case search for just one more space.
