Continentals create Spirit of '61 . . . Assistant? J o e Hendricks helps Pat O 1' e b a u g h serve punch at an after school dance. Students who volunteer their services un- der the titles of usher and assistant find themselves running errands, Keeping records in order, or alphabetizing names in the span of one period. Bookstore attendants serve Washington by selling books, taking inventory, and balancing supplies on hand. Ushers carry messages and call slips to respective destina- tions. Learning through actual experience, clin- ic assistants, gym assistants, library assistants, and audio-visual assistants better understand the many phases of school life. Big Wheels, Mr. Kramer and Mr. Julian assist Parent Teacher Association oliicers Mrs. Harry Harrington, Mi James Leeper, Mrs. Aaron Leak, and Mrs. Edward Horner Willing workers. John luCGl'6'XV and Robert X Anderson devote much of their spare time to the audio-visual department.
