Acti ities 1 Through our many extra-curricular clubs and activities, We gain much experience and learn to accept responsibilities. When we engage in these different activities, we are under the guid- ance and supervision of many capable individuals. This year, joining the ranks of those who help us, were Mr. H. H. Walter and Miss Leunice Horne. Mr. Walter, a member of the Tech faculty for 29 years,has an A. B. rhfgrec from Butler University and an M. S. degree from Indiana Univer- sity. At the time Mr. Walter was appointed G. W. H. S. principal, he was a vice-principal at Tech. Miss Leunice Horne, our new dean of girls, also came to us from Tech where sho taught English and held the position as head senior sponsor. Miss Horne has an A. B. degree from Hiram College and an M. S. degree from Butler University. Larry Moore, Julia West, Anne Kessler, and Jan Guffin are pictured at the right welcoming Mr. Walter and Miss Horne to Wasliington. Carolyn Mann portrayed Aunt Lydia, Pat Sandidge was Mary .log and Bob Gehlbach was Bill Hen- derson. Darlene Lucas played the part of a local siren, Arden. Mrs. Holden, a producer, was played by Hallie Miller. Pictured below is Carol Jordan handing Bob Gehl- bach a cup of tea. Carol played the part of a talented actress who doesn't realize until her children are almost adults that perhaps her greatest role would have been that of a mother to her own children.
