Rex and Betty Reign Betty Poland, Miss Snow Flake, and Rex Durrett, Mr. Jack Frost, reigned at the senior mid-winter dance, the Snow Whirl. Rex is president of the Senior Class. Betty is track queen. Lois Griffin, after being chosen to represent George Wash- ington High School, competed with contestants from five other schools and won the right to represent the Caroline Scott Chap- ter of the D. A. R. twenty-four Good C ztzzen Lois Griffin was chosen by the faculty and seniors to represent George Wash- ington High School in the Good Citizenship Contest.

Senior Class Executive Committee and hairmen The executive committee of the Senior Class are pictured above. They are Dick McLain, Jim Sheets, Bob Hightower, and Bill Campbell. For this commit- tee there was a change during the second semester when Lexie Smotherman replaced Jimmy Sheets.
