Rex and Betty Reign Betty Poland, Miss Snow Flake, and Rex Durrett, Mr. Jack Frost, reigned at the senior mid-winter dance, the Snow Whirl. Rex is president of the Senior Class. Betty is track queen. Lois Griffin, after being chosen to represent George Wash- ington High School, competed with contestants from five other schools and won the right to represent the Caroline Scott Chap- ter of the D. A. R. twenty-four Good C ztzzen Lois Griffin was chosen by the faculty and seniors to represent George Wash- ington High School in the Good Citizenship Contest.

For this commit- tee there was a change during the second semester when Lexie Smotherman replaced Jimmy Sheets.
