Brilliantly dressed in burgandy and White, the G. W. band presented colorful halftime shows at football games. The pep band roused the crowd at basketball games. Several band members earned All-County and All-State positions. A trip to New York to participate in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade highlighted the year for the band.
