Not only do the guidance counsellors help every student plan his schedule but they are also available to listen to any personal problem that a student might have. Busy indeed is the life of our two counsellors, Miss Veva McAtee and Mr. Paul Wilkinson. Before school is started they must arrange schedules to lit the courses indicated by the pupils under their jurisdiction. They also arrange College Day and Career Day programs to bring outside information in these fields to interested students. Although this may look like Greek to many people, to the students of chemistry it appears as a chemical reaction which perhaps leads to one of the hidden secrets of the universe. Though many an evening is spent in the pursuit of scientific and mathematical facts. students realize the benefits gained by this study. Rapidly expanding tields today demand a mastery of science and math. Therefore these departments spend much time emphasing f? s this importance. ezafwglf ATHEMATICS mf? A greenish glow permeated the darkness and spotlighted King Neptune. reigning over the undersea world in a fanciful tropical scene constructed for Sea Fantasy, the Senior Dance of the Class of 1954. Glancing up the couples saw a huge fish net covering the entire ceiling with Starfish and shells caught in it. This was the last of the class dances that began with XVishing W'ell Waltz as the freshman presentation and included A Night in Hawaii, Mardi Gras and Mid- night Masqueradej' the junior Prom. Other traditional acts of the class were the fine performance of Remote Control, directed by Miss Oza Cunningham, and the choosing of class colors, blue and silver, and flower, carnation. Qualities of leadership were evident in many outstanding class members and were developed through class and club officers. Freshmen officers were Lawrence Kessler, Dona Clark, Greggie Argus and Judy Eggers as president, vice president, secretary and treasurer. As sophomores, Lawrence Kessler, Bill Studer, Carol Bodefeld and Erwin Adams were chosen: juniors elected Ken Bonds, George Oaks, Greggie Argus and Co- Treasurers Dorothy Piniak and Walter Willis, and seniors delegated responsibility to Ronald jackson, Norbert Pasko, Dona Clark and Dorothy Piniak. Most important were the memories seniors will always have of classes and teachers, dances and plays, parties and clubs and fun. ISTDR. Robed in rich blue, the seniors solemnly proceeded down the aisle of the school auditorium to receive their diplomas in the commencement exercises - ending their life at Clark, yet retaining precious moments in memory.
