Classes With an emphasis upon world peace and the building of individual charac- ter, all nations are striving to better world conditions. Each member of the various classes at Clark endeavors to gain this desire by accumulating know- ledge to establish himself in a just society. Through co-operation and hard work in class events, each student rea- lizes that many goals which are bigger and better than his own may be attain- ed for the benefit of all.

Page Twelve Our Principal PRINCIPAL Mr. R. B. Miller For fifteen years Principal R. B. Miller has been guiding George Rogers Clark High School past numerous difficulties. Busy as he is in administrating to the needs of the school, Mr. Miller, known as prince-of-a- pal,” is always ready to help and encourage students by a cheerful smile, sound advice, and pleasant words. Miss Pearl Yocham and Mr. Paul Wilkin- son share the office of guidance conselors at Clark in directing the curriculum and activities of the students. The Board of School Trustees, composed of five members elected for a four year term, is in charge of operating the entire Ham- mond Public School System. Under the leadership of Superintendent Lee L. Caldwell, the present board consists of Mr. Walter Thornton, president; Mr. Charles N. Scott, secretary; Mr. Columbus Smith, treasurer; Dr. Henry Eggers and Mr. Archie Spoerner, members-at-large; and Mr. Gerald A. Gillett, attorney.
