The Executive Department on board USS GEORGE PHILIP consists of Personnelmen (PN ' s), Yeomen (YN ' s), Corpsmen (HM ' s) and the Maintenance Ma- terial Management (3M) coordinator. The PN ' s and YN ' s headed the Ship ' s Office conducting daily personnel and ad- ministrative business. Led by the Personnel Officer, PNKSW) Barr ' , and Ship ' s Secretary, ' iTSIl(SW) Moore, the Ship ' s Office accomplished everything from daily muster re- ports and publishing the Plan of the Day to ensuring every- one received a security clearance and were transferred on time. The Ship ' s Office charged fearlessly forward tack- ling challenges such as last minute transferring of active duty and Selective Reservist personnel overseas and process- ing over 60 Selected Reservist on Annual Training. The Ship ' s Office also topped their counterparts on the other CARAT ships in the Publications Exercises (PUBEX) con- ducted while steaming in between ports. The HM ' s helmed the Sick Bay . ' Without a Medical Of- ficer on board, the Independent Duty Corpsman (IDC), HMl Silver, delivered his medical expertise in nothing less than an outstanding fashion making sure that everyone on board was fit for full duty. Throughout the deployment no major medical casualties reported. In addition to the invaluable medical training provided to the crew, they handled all emer- gencies, minor and major, professionally and expertly. The material condition of the GEORGE was supervised by 3M Coordinator, MRKSW) Hudson. His expertise and keen eye for Damage Control ensured the ship was kept in tip-top shape. The 3M Coordinator masterfully led the ship through two Material Maintenance Force Revisions. The Executive Department remains at the ready stand- ing-by for any and all challenges.
