Operations Dept. LT BRIAN MOVERS OPERATIONS OFFICER Operations Officer Lieutenant Brian P. Moyers, a native of Richland, Washington, is a 1989 graduate of Seattle Pacific University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. He relieved his commission through the Naval ROTC pro- gram as a cross town enrolled student vnth the University of Washington. Upon commissioning, he attended Surface Warfare Officers School Division Of- ficers Course in Coronado, CA followed by Combat Information Center Officer School. His first assignment was to USS REUBAN JAMES (FFG 57) in Long Beach. CA. While on board he served as the Combat Information Center Of- ficer. Electronic Repair Officer, and Anti-Submarine Warfare Evaluator. He completed two Western Pacific deployments including a historic visit to Vladi- vostock, USSR. In July 1993, he was transferred to CINCPACFLT as a Staff Action Officer in the Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence Direc- torate (N6). Concurrent with his tour at CI NCPACFLT, he attended Chami- nade University and obtained a Master in Business Administration, Interna- tional Management curriculum. Lieutenant Moyers reported to Department Head School in Nevqjort, Rhode Island in September 1996. Upon graduation in March 1997, he reported to USS GEORGE PHILIP (FFG 12) in San Diego, CA as Operations Officer. Lieutenant Moyers ' personal awards include the Navy Achievement Medal (two awards). Command Master Chief Dennis Lust United States Navy r-49!s- ri [■■ ) Master Chief Lust was born in Pro ndence, Rhode Island on 22 July 1957. He was reared and attended schools in Lyme, CN. After graduating from high school he enlisted in the Navy on 7 July 1975. He com- pleted Recruit training and Machinist Mate A School in Great Lake, IL. Upon completion of training he reported to the USS RamseyiFFG 2) in San Diego, CA where he was as- signed to Machinery ' Di ' ision until his transfer in April 1976. In June 1976, he reported to the USS Niagara Falls (AFS 3) in Alameda, CA where he was assigned to Auxiliarv ' Division. In October 1978 Master Chief Lust volunteered for submarine duty. After completion of basic submarine school, he reported to the USS Ulysses S. Grant(SSBN 631 1 in Groton, CN where he was assigned to Auxil- iary Division. WTiile serving on the Grant he completed three Poseioon deterrent patrols and qualified Sub- marines . In October 1981 he reported to Naval Submarine Base, Groton and served as a drug dog handler in the Securitv Department until Julv 1984. Master Chief Lust was advanced to Chief Petty Officer in 1984, while attached to the USS DALLAS (SSN 700) and served as Auxilian,- Di asion Leading Chief Petty Officer! LCPO). In March 1987, he transferred to the USS DRUM (SSN 677) m San Diego, CA. Where he served as LCPO until advanced to Senior Chief Petty Officer in 1989. As a Senior Chief he completed his tour as the 3M Coor- dinator. In March 1991, he transferred to the staff of Commander, Submarine Group FIVE and served as the per- formance monitoring team LCPO. In April 1993 Master Chief Lust was selected to serve as Chief of the Boat on board the USS CHICAGO (SSN 721). Master Chief Lust assumed the position as Command Master Chief (CMC), Naval Air Station, Barbers Point. HI in June 1996. He reported on board USS GEORGE PHILIP (FFG 12) a CMC in Aug 1999. Master Chief Lust is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 74 and his personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (with two gold stars), Navy Achievement Medal (with three gold stars), as well as unit and campaign awards. Master Chief Lust is married to the former Maria Viola Berba of Fairfield, CA.
