Many old traditions such as Carnation Day and Jersey Day were upheld, and several new ones were introduced; Toga Day and ’60’s Day were big hits! The week's activities peaked with the pep rally, bonfire, and the big game with Manassas Park which GM tied 7-7. And, of course, the ““Wonderful To- night”’ dance was certainly a memora- ble way to end the fun-filled week. Homecoming 9 WONDERFUL ea 8 TONIGHT Homecoming 11 CAMP SHILOH October 12, 13, 14 The Student Council went to Camp Shiloh again this year over the weekend of October 12, 13, and 14. The weekend was not all fun and games as the SC reconsidered the role it was to play in the 1985-86 school year and learned to use parliamentary procedure with Dr. Sprague. (There was a unanimous vote to throw Mouncey in the bushes.) The rest of the weekend was spent playing volleyball, carv- ing pumpkins, and participating in Inner Quest. A few unexpected activities such as Shiloh Rap and Midnight Wrestling added to the excitement and helped to make Shiloh a weekend to remember. The Midnight Wrestlers Amy practices her Shiloh Rap. The show was held on February 20, 21 and 22 and contained a great mix of singing, dancing, and acting. Many unknown talents made their debut this year such as Lauren Meserve and Kelly McLaughlin who sang The Kose, and Sue Sorensen in My Boyfriends Back. Many new bands appeared Ralph and Oscar, Mirrored Image, and the Electric Blues Outfit. The usual jabs were made at the administration in the Twelve Days of School and Thomsbusters.
