Richard ponders on how the last one slipped through The 1975 Varsity Soccer team, lead by Coach Harold, had its toughest season ever, facing a schedule of 14 games, all against triple A oppo- nents. As always, the team was crippled by having a small squad with few substitutes. Although the team was small and inexperienced, the help of Mike McCormack on the front line and Billy Kil- liam in the heart of the defense, gave every team a run for the money. Although having a rough year, four players were picked for the All Northern Virginia Soccer team. They were - 1st team: Captain, Billy Killiam, and Mike McCormack , leading goal scorer for the Mustangs; 2nd team: first year rookie goalie, Richard Amacher, and the other team captain, Sam Jordan, at fullback. MOST SPIRITED - Sam Jordan MOST IMPROVED - Richard Amacher MOST OUTSTANDING - Bill Killiam Steve Churchill anxiously awaits the ball. 17

Inexperience was the major difficulty that the Mustangs faced. Being up against the more experienced Triple A, Arlington league proved to give them the needed experience for the coming seasons . Next year there will not be a fall soccer season. It is being changed to a spring season and we will join a new league with Fairfax County.
