CHAS HUNTER - Captain This year an unusual event occur- red when the first football practice rolled around; an expansive num- ber of young athletes turned out, more than this school has seen in a long while . The practices were long and hard , but when the first game came along, those long hot practices paid off with a 28-0 win over Bishop Ireton, who had beaten the Mustangs last year 9-0. Despite the many injuries ranging from minor bruises to broken bones , the Mustangs were able to bring about a 6-4 season and return the lost respect of our football prowess to George Mason.
