X Ni-clris 71 H ' Nlllffttll 1 ttenfy Ezglzt 3 ruff kim ff HISTORI OF THE CLASS OF 28 N gnmg our Class History let us compare our High School career with our class flower the daisy Just as this beautiful flower we started out in our first stage green and yerdant to our newness of life and waiting for the nourish ment of knowledge so that yye might bloom and deyelop into something worth while In this stage MISS Allen was our caretaker and under her watchful eye we grew and began to bloom as we should into a beautiful flower At the end beauty and knowledge In the second stage of our development we began minus some of our petals but still large and full of life In this stage we were further developed under Miss Harbaugh who kept a close watch on our growth both in Wlsdom and ability In this stage we decided to show what we could do in the dramat1c line We gave a play Stop Thief which showed to the teachers and the upper classmen that we too were rounding into shape for our Junior and Senior years and that vue were made of the material it takes for the accom plishment of great undertakings We still had our beautiful bloom and also some of our greenness which we were ready to develop into a more beautiful flower We began our third stage st1ll under the care of Miss Harbaugh who proved to be a very yaluable keeper This stage proved to be more successful than the past as we showed up in ability along the lines of Essay Writing and also Athletics Some of our petals which developed faster than the rest Went ahead of us this year and showed their wonderful ability by graduating in the three years We were yery proud of this but still we regretted that vxe vyere to be without them in our last stage in which we were to sow seeds of example for our followers In the last half of this stage we were turned over to Mrs Ransom and under her diligent care we developed steadily and at the end of the year were ready for our final stage Ah At last yye haye come to the stage in which we are to polish up and sou our seeds of knowledge and example Now we are under the watchful eye of Vliss Sys ecker and it it vs ere not for her vs onderful help and care our last stage would be about tvsice as hard as it IS proylng to be With her aid and advice vue are shovung our merit along different lines and will soon have our various tasks completed It seems as tho this year IS sad compared with the rest of our school life for now yye are shedding our leaves and developing into our young yy omanhood and manhood protecting ourselves from the blighting atmosphere of the frost and cold wrnds of winter We are nearing the com pletion of our annual and yy hen this goes to press vue will immediately start work on our play -424 4- .lf 1- 1 0 1' 1' e 5 O f 'I 1 iaith : :ISIN A H j , I 'M V' i 1 - Y 7 ' 1 A gc, is iw, 7 P 7 .
