Hughes, Grade8 VICE PRINCIPALS Midyear marked an administrative change at Westinghouse when Mrs. Helen Faison was appointed principal of Fifth Avenue High School and Mr. William Fisher became vice principal for grades ll-12. After her graduation, Mrs. Faison taught English and served as girls advisor at Fifth Avenue. Eight years ago she came to Westinghouse, first as counselor, then vice principal. Now she has returned as principal to the school where she taught originally. Because of their great pride in Mrs. Faisonls accomplishments, the staff and student body of Westinghouse ex- pressed their affection and appreciation for her in several ways. Perhaps Mr. Fisher best defined Mrs. Faison's special qualities when he told the students assembled to say farewell to her, She is a person for whom you have respect simply because of the person she is.
