STUDENTS EXHIBIT THEIR SPECIAL MUSICAL TALENTS One of the features at Gauley Bridge High of which everyone is ex- tremely proud of is the music depart- ment. Under the direction of Mr. James Warren, Gauley Bridge has developed the best band and chorus in the county. The tradition of good quality music has thrived for years. The concert band has continued to be rated one, which is ex- cellent in both county and area band festivals. One of the added features which makes Gauley Bridge rather un- ique is the fantastic jazz band known as The Swingsters We are all very thankful to Mr. Warren for his time. effort, and dedica- tion to the music department and students of Gauley Bridge High School. HOOFPRINTS STAFF This year's changes even had its effects on the journalism department. With the seven period schedule we had the opportunity to have two periods allotted for journalism. Much more work was accomplished since there were two complete staffs for the newspaper and the yearbook. The HoofPrints' staff has published several interesting editions this year. Students supported the school newspaper well and par- ticularly showed concern for controversial issues by purchasing copies and keeping up- to-date on important happenings.
