:una Sana Agriculture james Sears began his vocational agriculture three years ago, and during that first year was elected Secretary, an office he has held for three years. In leadership training this year he has served as chairman of several committees, participated in District and Area Leadership con- tests, served as ll delegate to the Area, and was sent hy the Gaston Chapter as a delegate to the National Convention held in Kansas City. IIis first year farming activities consisted of growing strawberries and feeding out and showing a baby heef, In addition he worked at developing a permanent iinproved pasture and doing all johs on a dairy farm. His project program the second year consisted of corn, Hy-l,ine laying hens, hroilers, peas for market, and watermelons, Ile also huilt a lmrooder, a lirooder house, a laying house, and continued his work on the pasture and on producing Grade A milk from the dairy herd. Very petite, she can sink her teeth into any role or job and come through with flying colors. This has lieen proved on many occa- sions.
