FFA HONORS at Southwestern Fat Stock Show at Fort Worth, Texas january 29-February 7, 1960 Sheep Fat Lambs, Shropshire-Bob Watson exhibited a 3rd, 22nd, and a 24th place lamb out of a class of 85 lambs. Dairy Lyn McCreary won 12th place in junior Hereford heifer. David Drumm won 14th in the Angus Heifer class. Ferris Watson exhibited the junior Champion and Grand Champion Guernsey cow of the junior show. Gary Benson exhibited a lst, Sth, and Sth place jersey cow. jerry Hamilton exhibited a lst place jersey. Glenn Willeford exhibited a 2nd place jersey. SAN ANTONIO SHOW February 11-21, 1960 Livestock Exposition Ferris Watson exhibited the junior Champion Guernsey heifer at the San Antonio Fat Stock Show and Livestock Exposition. Gerald Hall's jersey cow placed first. The jersey Cow of Gary Benson placed second in the two- year-old Jersey cow class and Jackie Chase's Jersey cow placed third in the two-year-old Jersey Cow class. jerry Hamilton's heifer calf placed fourth in the Senior heifer calf class and Gary Benson's heifer calf placed fifth in the Sen- ior Heifer calf class. It portrayed the great freedoms we en- joy as Americans. The theme of American History was carried out by a narrator, Uncle Sam. Historical settings, with costumes and lighting effects correlated the Revolu- tionary Days, the growth of cities and school, the Civil War, the Westward Movement, World Wars I and II, and present-day America. The purpose of the show was to encourage greater loyalty and better citizenship in this great land. Mr. jim jackson, director, wrote the dialogue and continuity for this production.
