BAKER, 1953 .... a big year .... a fast year .... a memorable year. But it won't leave us. You can almost hear the songs we sang . . . Tell Me Whyw . . . HO Happy Day . . . ulvlakin' Like a Train . . . many others. And the dances! From Harvest Moon to the Farewell, 1953 was a year of new formals, rented tuxedos, and sore feet. Between dances we chose more comfortable attire . . . white bucks, navy suedes, cashmeres, yellow cords v Cpegged, no lessj, plaid scarves, and angora hats. And we always had fun . . . going to Wassels and dancing to such ILIDCS as Unforgettable, Lazy Riverf That's How lt Goes, and, of course, Blue Tango. Even at ' school when we weren't using our heads, we used our feet to trip the light fantastic to such scintillating charmers as the i'Hokey Pokeyii and X The Bunny Hopf' . ,M N .' 3 . .
