19 V65 H2602 H081 X l Tl RSON BOB CIASSIDY SLAM SAY.'Xlilz I I nl l ice-I riwulml Mifililrif Probably the most difiicult of the four years of high school is the first one. since the Freshman must acquaint himself with unfamiliar environment, pursue his studies, and at the same time, shoulder responsibility. This year's class made the necesary adjustments with great facility. Although ineligible for membership in the Honor Society, many earned sufHa cient points to entitle them to be listed on both the Honor and Service Honor Rolls. A few also acquired the distinction of having their literary attempts re- corded in the MPen. Strides toward a better student government, were instituted by a new plan whereby Freshman roll representatives, rather than the entire class, attended meetings. The satisfactory functioning of this arrangement promises to make it a permanent one. Athletics, too, were not neglected by the yearlings, who eagerly answered the coach's call to football, basketball, baseball, and track.
