Treasurer D ll DOROTHY WILLIAMS G IRLRESERVES 1 Girl Reserves, a junior division of the Y.W.C.A., is the largest and most active club at Garden Home Though it is the youngest club, having been organized four years ago, it has accomplished a great deal in rendering service to the community and improving the social and spiritual life of its members. The girls have been patriotic in their projects, one of which was collecting silk hose. Twenty pounds was the quota set, and they topped it. The social side has been added to by a hard-time party, ice skating party, and roller skating party, all of which were held earlier in the year. Those responsible for the success of the club activities have been the officers and cabinet members. The club has been under the able sponsorship of Miss Dorothy Williams and Mrs. Mary F. Green during the year. The mid-winter conference was held this year in Denver at the Y.W.C.A. It is an annual convention held for the purpose of exchanging ideas and getting plans for making better Girl Reserve Clubs. The theme was The World Beyond the War. Rrepresentatives from G.H.l'l.S. were Shirley Petersen, Dixie Lee Briggs, and Ieanne Mahana. Future social events which have been planned are a mothers' tea and installation ceremonies.
