To fulfill the aim of providing experiences through which young people can develop an understanding and an appre- ciation of family life, making it possible for all members to participate effectively in the activities of the home and the community, the Homemaking Department offered instruc- tional units with experiences in the following areas of home- making: family and social relationships, child study and guidance, housing and home furnishings, foods and nutrition, clothing, family health and home care of the sick, and home management.
