VARSITY BASKETBALL Varsity basketball saw the Rams start ott with a well organized unit. How- ever, as the season progressecl, the Rams tell betore their larger opponents. The varsity was led by Cole, Martinez, and Lopez in the scoring column, with the aid ot Barnett, Lozano, and Charlton on the baclcboarcls. B BASKETBALL Under the excellent coaching of John Scudder and the fact that the Ramblers were mostly veterans from last year's champion C team, the Garces High B class brought to the school its second basketball championship. The Ramblers suffered only two losses in the Sierra League. The Ramblers had a season record of eleven wins against four defeats. The most im- portant wins were over the S. J. M. B's and the - . East Bakersfield, McFar- land and Arvin were the only teams to stop the Ramblers. East Bakersfield defeated the Ramblers twice, winning the second game by a two-point margin. ln league play the Ramblers defeated Arvin, McFarland, Alpaugh ltwicel, Maricopa ltwicel, and Tehachapi ltwicel. ln non-league games the Ramblers defeated S.
