GALLATIN, 63 Hume-Fogg, 0-Playing what Coach Gwynn termed as the best game of the season, the Wave swept over the mighty Nashville City contenders, 6-0, in a spectacularly fought game. GALLATIN, 23 Murfreesboro, 0-In a closely contested game the Wave again emerged victorious as Elliott, Suddarth, and Ogles combined efforts to bottle up the Murfrees- boro lads on the local field, by the score of 2-0. GALLATIN, 0, Clarksville, 0-Showing a heavy, fighting team, C. H. S. invaded the Hill- top and held the locals to a scoreless draw. Although the XVave failed to score, their goal line was still uncrossed. GALLATIN, 6, Isaac Litton, 7-Litton scoring in the first minute of the second half for the only time the Wave goal line was crossed till the final game, failed to stop the GHS spirit as Kelly and Hurt drove over to score but failed only in the extra point try. GAI.I.ATIN, 61, W'oodbury, 0-Coming back, fighting hard after the Litton fray, the Hilltoppers won easily over the inexperienced lads from Woodbury, by 61-0, as Payne, Wells, and Hurt sparkled brilliantly. GALLATIN, 0, Columbia, 0-On a muddy field, soaked by a continual downpour, the Greenies ourplayed and outfought the runners-up in the state championship, as Ogles and Elliott fought stubbornly to protect GHS' once crossed goal line. The score, 0-0. GALLATIN, 25, Lewisburg, 0-Playing easily in the Marshall County metropolis, the Wave was glorious in the victory over the traditional foe, Lewisburg, as everything clicked to make a 25-0 victory perfect. GALLATIN, 0, Springfield, 12-Glorious in defeat, the Wave bowed to the Midstate Champs in a closely contested duel, 12-0, before a large home crowd. Making heroic stands, fighting against superior reserve strength, the Wave made for itself a name not soon to be forgotten, as Ogles, Elliott, Newman, Lowrey, and all the others fought like demons. TRIBUTE-To you who will never again represent the Gold and Green on the athletic field, we pay tribute. Ogles, Elliott, Lowrey, Dorris, Newman, Young, Wells, Troutt, and Herod, we of the Hilltop salute you as representatives in this great field of athletic competition. We believe you have made GHS a better place to go to school by your part played in its activities. Not all teams can be champ contenders but to us you are champions of a greater realm, that of comradeship, leadership, and sportsmanship. r 5' lfifklf M ld'-lE:.iQs 3,3034 .., L , Ks. .. 12 Q ,JS is 4. i 8 wi if 2 . is ,, .
