3982 RAMBLER GALESBURG-AUGUSTA HIGH SCHOOL GALESBURG, MICHIGAN RAMBLER 1982 Inside these pages are memories to remember, and promises to withhold, the things that we will never forget are as pure as gold. Tina Root DEDICATION One of the people we are dedicating this year- book to is Mrs. Dorothy Lounsbery. She began working f or the Galesburg-Augusta school system as a high school secretary in September of 1957. Mrs. Lounsbery became the executive secretary to the superintendent in 1970. She has given outstanding Service and dedication during her 25 years with the Galesburg-Augusta school system. This is why we are honoring her in the 1982 Rambler. The second person we are honoring is Mr. Garth Wilcox. He has been working for the Galesburg-Augusta school system for 9 years. Mr. Wilcox has taught such subjects as Algebra, General Math, Physical Science, Chemistry and Physics. He is a teacher who really cares about his students and puts his “all” into teaching them to the best of his ability. We are, therefore, dedicating this Rambler to Mr. Wilcox for his excellence and would like to wish him the best in the future. 4 NEWS EVENTS Falkland Islands were taken over by Argentina Nuclear Petitions El Salvador Space Shuttle Columbia went up for the third time Anwar Sadat assassinated October 6 We lost: Paul Lynde Natalie Wood John Belushi PRICE LIST Album $8.97 Candy Bar .35 Pop .50 Quarter Pounder With Cheese 1.25 Movie Ticket 3.50 School Lunch .85 Unleaded Gas 1.15 Regular Gas 1.09 Whole Milk 2.09 Calvin Klein Jeans 42.00 G-A Yearbook 14.00 Class Ring (gold) 120.00 SPORTS WORLD SERIES Dodgers over Yankees SUPER BOWL XVI San Francisco 49’ers 26 Cincinnati Bengals 21 NCAA North Carolina 63 Georgetown 62 HEISMAN TROPHY Marcus Allen (U.S.C.)
