It is organized as a branch of the National Association of Secondary Principals. Election to this group has come to represent the highest honor that may be bestowed upon a high school student. One is elected to this group on the basis of; Character, Leadership, Service and Scholarship. RENE WHITE - VALEDICTORIAN Rene White has led his class scholastically for the past four years, with a 4. 00 average. He has participated in many extra¬ curricular activities, such as F.T.A., Rambler Staff, and Varsity Club. Rene also took an active part in several sports at G-A: Football, basketball, track, and baseball. This outstanding 4. 00 average has been obtained by only three other students in the last thir¬ teen years at G-A. JACK CAMPBELL-SALUTATORLAN Jack Campbell has earned the title of Salutatorian for the Class of 1963 by maintaining a 3. 80 average. In maintaining this excellent scholastic average, he has also distinguished himself as a fine athlete as well as a lead¬ er of his class. SUSAN DODGE - D.A.R. PILGRIM Susan Dodge was chosen by her fellow classmates and facul¬ ty as the D. A. R. Pilgrim for 1963. Susan has shown outstand¬ ing leadership in the various clubs in which she has belonged. Under the leadership of its officers, Rene White, Doug Smith, Mike Pierman, and Doug Becker, the club has adopted a set of poli¬ cies to be followed involving the entrance requirements and the conduct of its present and future members. In addition, a con¬ stitution has been written and ratified. Although various improvements have been made in the club this year, they were made with the hope that the fine traditions of the Varsity Club will be carried on in the years to come.
