As the old saying goes, another day, another dollar . Even though we weren't paid for going to school we still lived out each school day to its fullest. Through a senior's point of view this year has passed by quickly. To an 8th grader it may have seemed like a million light years. All the same we all had our fun times and sad times no matter what grade. Through the days, weeks, and months we've collected photographs and memories of this school year. The year- book staff of 79-80 hopes that this years annual will help you remember the good times you shared with Galax High School and all the people that help make it what it is. . . . . . . Throughout the year, we learned to live with less individually as well as in a group. We each had to face fewer bucks, less gas, time, etc. Group wise, the school also faced less money and energy. Halls were cold and classrooms even colder. Sports saw us meet our defeats without losing our hope or pride and though at times they seemed far apart, our victories were always welcome. Things were tough on our teams this year because of injuries and lack of experience. But even though we had our troubles, we still lived, worked, and played with the same old vigor. We entered a brand new decade with hope and dedication for our future. Crisis after crisis has and will arise throughout our lives but each of us knows that we can all get along with a lit- tle less. Who knows? We may even get to like it. W .... x A n avg' -af I i s These innocent Bth graders don't know what's com- ing up for them. ss- -ffl 11 I !
