They opened the doors to knowledge, encouraging students to step through. They stood by, ready to lend an ear to problems and to impart the knowledge they had gained through experience. For those who needed it, the faculty sometimes played the part of disciplinarians. However, when the students cooperated and took full advantage of the many available opportunities, the teachers were rewarded in their primary role as educators. Roger B.
