Everyone has his own idea as to what a teacher is and what his or her job includes. However, do they really know all the tasks he or she performs? Of course, a teacher's main role is obviously teaching. If teaching was the only duty a teacher had, there would be a great excess of teachers today. Along with keeping and recording grades, a teacher must have great patience along with a strong hand and sometimes a weak heart. Contrary to popular beliefs, a teacher's day doesn't end at three o'clock. 126 FACULTY Miss Griggs calls out a quiz to the Drivers Ed. students. Miss Morton, along with other help, prepares for an S.C.A. meeting. What happens to teachers in the summertime? Do they just crawl into a cave and hibernate 'till the end of August? Do they spend all summer thinking up ways to make a student suffer all through the school year? As strange as this may seem, they do just about everything that normal people do. There was even a rumor spread about saying that maybe even a few teachers went on vacation, but who believes that? Most students think they were planning daily lessons all during the summer. With the coming of summer, not all teachers can look forward to a few months off, some have a few short days off then back to the routine of school during the summer sessions.
