The Future Homemakers of America Organization was filled with students whose lifelong dream was to become a happy homemaker or a galloping gour- met. But of course they had to perform various duties to help prepare them for their future. The FHA has participated in many projects. They prepared and served refreshments for new student orientation .and co-sponsored a reception for the Homecoming Court and their mothers. Members also earned money for their club by selling Tupperware at the begin- ning of the year. .Mg . Susan Carper anxiously waits for the meeting to begin. Blazing Saddles Meanwhile back at the ranch, the Future Farmers of America once again strived to keep the backbone of America in farming. Learning the basics of car- pentry, welding, and masonry, these skills will be useful no matter what their future brings. Initiation gave the old members a chance to welcome new members by the usual fun . A major project of the organization was selling oranges and grapefruits. This is a service that is ap- preciated throughout the community. They have caroling groups at Christmas that visit nursing homes and various other institu- tions. Each member is also urged to at- tend concerts in the area and be involved with musical programs concerning the area. High, medium, and low notes prepare a bulletin board in the hall.
