Normal school life resumed in the dawning of spring with school elec- tions. The campus was transformed into a world of cardboard and col- ors. Candidates experienced the usual anticipation, suffered butter- flies before speaking, and kept eager eyes on the voting results. Whether they won or lost, it was an exper- ience to remember. Feelings changed and thoughts turned to frivolity. The outdoors beckoned, and students took advan- tage ofthe lovely GHS campus. Graduation, so long awaited, seemed to come much too soon sud- denly. Seniors began to cherish the memories of GHS and the most ex- citing years of their lives. But what were the three years compared to a lifetime? They were mere stepping- stones - but vastly important ones. And, one June evening, the larg- est senior class in GHS history met untried horizons at the Florida Gym Exit. 22
