CRUCIBLE 1988 ... i time for decisions A Year In the Life was chosen as the theme for the 1988 Crucible because it was best suited to our need to accu- rately portray a small, but substantial, portion of our lives: the high school experience as it is lived at Gadsden High. As ninth graders we all decide what we want from the next four years. Some chose to sit back and observe while oth- ers chose to excel in either sports, ac- ademics, or social activities. What sep- arates Gadsden High from other schools is the percentage of those who make the decision to take an active role in their high school experience. contents opening aficnts activities o anijati ns tnends fiensonatities iacuiUi aofi uwtones fcati yts seniors ctoSiKf cottuttfutiUf aufifuvtt index 2 7 27 51 76 21 22 27 97 105 113 155 173 S above: Michael Madden and Janice Hooks are proud to be Gadsden High Tigers.
