Spirit is a vital element at Gadsden High as it is at all Schools. To keep this spirit alive, the SGA sponsored activ- ities to complement the sports seasons. A sock hop was held in the lunchroom during football season and several days were set aside as “dress-up days.” These included hat day, different sock day, plaids and stripes day, fifties-six- ties day, Alabama-Auburn day, and scarf day. Charity Bowl 75 In order to give the students a chance to ex- press their feelings, the individual homerooms competed their genious and creative talents in the form of door decorations for the Charity Bowl. Mrs. Drinkard’s homeroom won with the door at the right. Gadsden High students love to have a good time at Emma’s expense, and the 1975 Charity Bowl provided the perfect opportunity. ABOVE: Mr. Brown's homeroom re- ceived an Honorable Mention for its originality. RIGHT: Mrs. Alexander's and Mrs. Harden’s homerooms pro- duced this door through a joint effort for an Honorable Mention, and Mrs. Traylor’s homeroom somehow pre- dicted the outcome of the game! 18 Adventure
