Editor Co-Business Manager Co-Business Manager Orange and Black, our dear old colors. Faithful we will be. Living to our motto ever, To do our part for thee. Ever loyal, firm and true. Ever on well go Year by year the ages through Because we love you so. On our city's western border. Reared against the sky. Proudly stands our Alma Mater As the years go by. Ever loyal, firm and true. Ever on we'll go Year by year the ages through Because we love you so. When the world was created, Japan, the most beautiful of all places, was the first country to be made. So lovely was it that the gods considered mere man unworthy to rule over it. The Sun Goddess, therefore, sent down Ninigi her heavenly grandchild, and he became the Emperor of Japan. The people believed the present em- peror to be his direct descendant, and they, the direct descendants of Ninigi's attendant gods. The Japanese call their country The Land of the Rising Sun , as indeed it is the first Asiatic country to greet the sun as it rises above the Pacific. We, the 1958 CRUCIBLE STAFF, proudly present The Land of the Rising Sun . Graduation is the peak of our lives, thus far, and it is the dawn of our going out on our own. SENIOR CLASS HISTORY We, the graduating class of '58, leave our fondest memories to the teachers and oncoming student bodies of Gadsden High School. In September of 1954, we entered as all freshmen do—- green , scared, and wideeyed. It wasn't long before our upperclassmen realized that we weren't just an ordinary class. Our Homecoming float didn't place; but when it came to the talent show, we had the second place ribbon in the bag with the theme, Santa's Doll Room. When stunt night rolled around, we came up with A trip to the Moon, and it was very good for our first and only performance. Jean Gibson was our beauty, and we were very proud of her. Our Sophomore year was as profitable as the first, and our Homecoming float looked very promis- ing, but there were no judges; so, of course, we didn't get a ribbon. When talent show time came around again, we once more took the ribbon for second place. Our candidate for queen was the lovely Kitty Barnes. 1956, and we were finally upperclassmen. This time we won the second place ribbon for our Home- coming float. Next was the first place ribbon for our talent show, 19th Hole. To top it all, we received the Class of the Year award under the capable leadership of Ralph Godfrey. The biggest moment came when Sally McCord, our class beauty, was crowned queen. Seniors at last. Our rings helped us to feel that our senior year had started three months early. Then came our greatest accomplishment although many thought we couldn't do it. Our goal of $13,000 for the magazine campaign was met and on time at that. We were very proud of our Home- coming Queen, Sally McCord. We had a good time getting ready for a wonderful talent show, but we'll just skip the results. Sally is the Queen of our class and we hope that Mantovani thinks so, too! We sincerely hope that for all dear ole G. H. S. has given us, we have given to it a little in return . . . that we have done a small bit of good, by being . . . the Class of 1958. CLASS PROPHECY Four years ago which hasn't been but a while. Our class entered G. H. S. with a cheer and a smile. We ripped right through our freshman year Our Cheers in pep rallies—a thing to hear. Yes, t'was in that first year we showed our stuff. But a trip to the moon wasn't even enough, A second place in talent show—we really did rate. We proved we were the class—that fate made great! And then we were Sophomores—feeling our oats. With another talent show victory—taking place in a boat. We, of course, had the usual ups and downs. But our high spirits just weren't to be drowned. But what is this—upper classmen you say! Why I thought I would never see this day. There was something to us—you bet! Now just watch the first places—that we would get. We thought our float had made the grade, But it missed first place—by just a shade. Naturally talent show was in the bag. We presented our show with nary a shag, But that year there were other awards to be won. Class of the year—we had that by gum! And then for the first time in class history Sally was made our own queen bee. But then the days and weeks just flew right by. And we're Seniors—together now—but soon to say goodbye. Our class has pulled together all for one—one for all. With championship teams that could really carry the ball. We've had so much good luck—there's been plenty to share. And perhaps a few troubles and a little despair. But this is one thing that I will allow. Our class is the best—forever and right now! —Leone Pruett [ 59 ] CLASS PROPHECY Everyone sure did have a swell time at the class reunion last week. As I browsed around in the crowd, I was surprised to hear of the many vocations my friends were engaged in. A group of friends were talking about Pete Christian's successful night Club. Eunice Stephens is his Torch singer and Lila Wilbanks is hat-check girl. He hired Johnny Hefner as head chef with James Miller as his assistant. Our fellow classmen are on their toes when it comes to inventing things that have shaken the world's production of certain products. Lamar Osborn has discovered a stronger and more durable toilet tissue for rolling yards. Jimmy Massey and Frenchy Eubanks have invented a portable lamp post that two can lean on at the same time. Gid Riddle has at last found that unlockable locker to keep Jim Vice in. A device for recovering lost rings ('58) was discovered last month by Kitty Barnes. Mr. Davie should take note of all the scientists that emerged from his chemistry classes. I could hardly believe that Gus Tatum was Dean of Chemistry at the University of Alabama. Billy Rae Headrick and Don Brooks are now the U. S.'s top brains on chemical warfare with Prissy Walker and Judy Smith as lab assistants. Von Brahn is being coached by Gary Suttle. Sandra Owen and Marilyn Morris are continually searching night and day for a way to prevent people like Charles Wright and Bill Rosick from mixing up stink bombs or H-_ S. Still hanging around our alma mater is Larry Etchison in room 226, typing. All of our creative minds have made headlines. Hunter Duncan just finished a best-selling novel titled My Weekend at Auburn and Linda Sedam has completed her sequel to Peyton Place. At last Charles Jackson has entered the realm of America's greatest poets, (Alfred Princemetal style). Louise Hooks has received the Nobel Prize for her book' Life Among the Savages. Katherine McClain, Julia White, Carol Reese, and Sandra Character have finally received the copywright for their stupendous hit of rock'n roll, Raindrop. Frances Smith has replaced Louella Parsons as society editor for Hollywood. As I heard one person say, We've had our share of executives in this cruel old world. John Campmire now owns the Times and Tommy Costner is his business manager. The new veep of the National Dentists Association is Bracey Cross and Ann Bloodworth has become the first woman vice- president of a bank. Myron Hawkins is the new president of General Motors Corporation and Carl Gary Elliot is the proud owner of a grocery store chain. The Pitman was purchased the other day by Chalmer George. Roger Rosson is still selling popcorn there. Snerre Arnold seems to be doing good for herself in the bookstore business. Herschel Casey has pulled up through the ranks and is manager of F. W. Woolworth and Company. Last, but not least, is the 'ole G. H. S. stage manager, Jerry Whorton. [ 60 ] CLASS PROPHECY Some of the gong have returned to take over their Alma Mater. Linda Lou Broach is teaching second year algebra and Patsy Smith, World History. Nancy Short has filled Mrs. Couch's shoes and Betty Berry is her errand girl. Judy Hooker has become the first lady to be a pole-vaulting coach. John Norris is keeping the students in line as principal. The new watch-out-for-smoking-in-boy's-rest- room is Mickey Crain. Ronald Burke, Harry Littleton, Joe Crawford, and Jerry Heard are trying to set the around-the- world-relay record. Next week, Bobby White will play in the golf tournament at Augusta, Georgia. Tommy Stringer and Jerald Reynolds are still complaining about their bum basketball legs. Douglas Dawson, Diane Wilson, and George Kell are now employed by the city to paint posters to help keep our city clean. I hear that next week the legislature of Alabama is going to appropriate funds to put the governor's name, Thomas Musick, in lights over the capitol. Gene Ashley is still runn- ing for Senate Floor Leader. Naturally our first lady President of U. S. is Leone Pruett and Jerome Kim- berly is her chief advisor. Allen Rutherford was taking pictures at the last press conference. Pat Waldrop defeated Sammy Pruitt in a diaper changing contest at a record breaking speed’of one every three seconds for a period of four hours. Barbara Lamberth, Mary Ann Braddy, Sudie Kay Wilson, Linda Guest, Kaye Farley, Joyce Kilgore, Alice Beacham, Martha Blanks, and Carolyn Eaves were first to qualify for membership in P.-T.A. David McCallie is Gadsden High's band director, and he gives private drum lessons to Selma Thrasher. Grady Hale, Gareth Bryant, and Jim Hunt have blown the Foam off many mugs of beer with their trumpet jazz trio down in New Orleans. Jeff Thurman has defended his title as the only human being in the world who can play his clarinet with all ten toes, lying down at the same time. The four horsemen . Bo Saks, Gary Reese, Jim Butler, and Eddie Smith, are still horsing around the Stag Pool Room owned by Randy Traylor. Just on the sidelines, Peggy Bobo is making peanut Brittle, but of course she was always a little nutty. Robin Harbin is minister at the largest church in Texas. His Sunday School superintendant is Ralph Godfrey. Lee Headley is a house mother at Brenau and Tommy Bradbeer is still a ’ war chick at Auburn. The new commander-in-chief of the air academy is Ted Hawk and Claude Chamblee swabs deck under- water in the Silent Service. Joyce Malcom is teaching ski jumping in Cypress Gardens. Eleanor Fox is still struggling her way through Auburn. Wade Johnson is now raising his own student council. Russell Brengleman is still trying to get Joe Smith out of the Tri-Hi-Y. This is all for now. Hope to see you at the next Class reunion. However, when the time for Homecoming rolled around, we surprised all the upperclassmen by producing quite a professional looking float. We are sure, had there been judges, we would have placed. Our sophomore year was sparked by our talent show, The Night Before Christmas, which we worked very hard on, but it did not place. For the second time, Betty Sue Denson splendidly represented our class at the Coronation Ball as our Sophomore Beauty. Juniors, and upperclassmen at last! As we started our junior year, we produced a wonderful float entitled Another Victim, which captured first prize in the Homecoming Parade. That really gave us a boost and helped us to work equally hard on our talent show, Dear Diary, which everyone con- sidered a wonderful show, and which captured second place. We were ably assisted this year by our very fine sponsors Mrs. Bullock, Dr. Glosser, and Mrs. Bumpers, to whom we owe a great deal of appreciation. We consider that our junior year has been very successful under the leadership of our President, Rudy Conner, and we are looking forward to next year when we will at long last be seniors. We hope to be the best senior class yet! SOPHOMORE CLASS HISTORY We, the Class of '60, came to Gadsden High School with great anticipation of what the coming years had in store for us. Entering G. H. S. as Sophomores, we had had no experience in building floats. Although o u r homecoming float was a good one, we didn't place in the judging. The Sophomore Class Members were overjoyed when the judges announced that our talent show had won first place. This rating was made possible by a good class spirit of co-operation and willingness to work. Our challenge to the future Sophomores is to be friendly, work hard, aim high, and co-operate with all the teachers and class committees. As we think of the future and make our resolutions for 1959-60, let us have the serenity to accept the things we cannot change; the courage to change the things we can, and the wisdom to know the difference. SENIOR TALENT SHOW Special recognition should be given to affairs of the Senior III class and to those who supported them in it. It is a standing requirement that any group who uses the school building other than during school hours must be accompanied by a teacher or some- one designated by school authorities. On Sunday afternoon prior to the Senior Talent Show a group of seniors used the auditorium un- known to the senior sponsors or the class officers, having gained possession to the building illegally. As soon as this misdemeanor was discovered, the class officers and class sponsors reported it to the school office. After several conferences on what should be done, Ralph Godfrey asked for an opportunity to make amends to the rest of the student body. At the close of the sophomore performance, he took the mike and publicly asked, student body, faculty, and judges to allow the senior class to with- draw from consideration for competition. This was a mighty big thing for Ralph to do, and I am sure the rest of his classmates who believe in fair play and honest competition supported him in this move. Rockin' to Bony Maroni' F. T. The decision was not an easy one. When I met and talked with the girls, I realized that they possessed not only extraordinary beauty, but also charming personalities and much poise. After careful consideration, I have picked Sally McCord as my choice for queen. I hope the students of Gadsden High will agree with my selection. THE GADSDEN TIGERS 1957 CLASS AAA STATE CHAMPIONS The 1957 edition of the Gadsden Tigers was the Cinderella team of Alabama, as it rose from a dis- mal 1-6-2 season in 1956 to an impressive 9-0-1 seasonal record and the mythical state champion- ship. It was the first time in 16 years that a Gadsden team had gone unbeaten and the first time that a Tiger eleven had ever achieved the honor of being acclaimed state champions.. Only one scoreless deadlock with our archrival, the Etowah Blue Devils, blotted an otherwise perfect season. The Tigers opened the season by defeating Red Bank High of Chattanooga 21-0 in a steady down- pour and the following week journeyed to Huntsville to down a strong Butler team 18-0. The third game, scheduled with Decatur, was postponed due to bad weather and after a week's lay-off came the battle with Etowah, which ended 0-0. After the scoreless tie with Etowah the fired-up Tigers took their madness out on Albertville by slaughtering the Aggies 40-0. Homecoming was celebrated with a 27-0 licking of Huntsville, and the following week, Scottsboro, state powerhouse, fell before the Tigers 27-6, but not until they had scored the only touchdown to be registered against the Tigers rock-ribbed defense all year. The always dreaded Anniston Bulldogs were next for the Bengals, but they were dealt with in short-order and came out on the short-end of a 26-0 decision. Emma Sansom was next in line for the state champions and they were conquered 21-0, after holding the Tigers scoreless for a half. The postponed game with Decatur was played after the Sansom game and weather conditions were unbelievable, but the Tigers overcame this handicap, and whipped a good Decatur team 12-0. For the first time since 1951, Gadsden was a participant in the Charity Bowl game. Emma Sansom was again the opposition and this time the Tigers rolled to a 27-0 victory, thus ending one of the most prosper- ous years in Gadsden High football history. The Tigers placed nine men on the All-County team. They were: Ends, Ronald Stancil and Terrell Wallen; Tackles, Johnny Hefner and Pat Waldrop,- Guards, Ted Hawk and Bobby Lambert; Center, Myron Hawkins; and Halfbacks, Harry Littleton and Gid Riddle. Four of the Tigers were honored by being chosen on the All-State Team. Those chosen were: Center, Myron Hawkins; End, Terrell Wallen,- Tackle, Pat Waldrop,- and Halfback, Harry Littleton. Center Myron Hawkins was also named on the All-Southern team, Dixie's top scholastic grid honor. Coach Jerry Watford and his fine assistants are certainly to be congratulated on their outstanding job in bringing the Gadsden Tigers back up among the states leading football powers. The Tigers drew first blood in the first quarter when Terrell Wallen recovered a Red Bank fumble in the end zone for a touchdown. Gadsden scored again in the third quarter with halfback Harry Littleton skirting right end for twenty yards and a touchdown. In the fourth period Gid Riddle went thirty-seven yards around left end for the Tiger's third six-pointer of the game. Gid Riddle's educated toe accounted for all three P. A. T.s. Gadsden's defense was exceptionally outstanding, holding Red Bank to a total of only seventeen yards rushing. The defensive team consisted of Captain Myron Hawkins, Larry Busby, Olen Brown, and Harry Littleton at Linebackers; ends Terrel Wallen and Ronald Stancile; tackles Pat Waldrop and Johnny Hefner and guard Bobby Lambert. The Tiger's offense was centered around quarterback Jerald Reynolds; halfbacks Harry Littleton, and Gid Riddle; and fullback Donnie Lyda. GADSDEN DEFEATS BUTLER 18-0 A mud-soaked field awaited the Tigers for the second straight week, but it had no effects on either their playing or their spirits as they downed a strong Butler team 18-0 in Huntsville. The Tigers suffered the loss of first string quarterback Jerald Reynolds for at least four weeks when the senior signal-caller sustained a dislocated elbow in practice. Tommy Smith, sophomore second-string quarterback, stepped into the first team and filled in excel- lently in handling the ball like a veteran. Smith also scored the first T. D. when he sneaked over from the one. Terrel Wallen's alertness in the second quarter accounted for the second six-pointer when the junior defensive end caught a Butler fumble in mid-air and scampered 80 yards for a touchdown. Harry Littleton crossed the goal line for the Tiger's third touchdown after two fine runs by Riddle and brought the ball deep into Butler territory. Littleton covered ten yards in two carries for the T. D. Gid Riddle's attempts for the extra point after all three touchdowns failed. GADSDEN, ETOWAH BATTLE TO 0-0 TIE A fired-up Blue-Devil team from Attalia held a better Gadsden team to a nothing to nothing tie before a capacity crowd at Murphree Stadium. The Tigers penetrated deep in Etowah several times during the contest but could not master a scoring punch. The Tigers out rushed the Devils 186 yards to 80 yards. Harry Littleton gave the fans something to cheer about in the first period when he romped 25 yards for a T. D. but the officials ruled that he stepped out of bounds before reaching pay dirt. For the third straight week the Tigers played on a sloppy, wet field and it made footing for both the lineman and the back very difficult. TIGERS TROUNCE ALBERTVILLE 40-0 The Tigers traveled to Albertville and displayed their best offensive show of the season this far. The Tiger forward-wall played its usual outstanding defensive game and completely bottled up the Aggie All-State candidate, John Thomas. Harry Littleton led the Tiger offensive with three touchdowns on runs of 60, 48 and 10 yards. Gid Riddle followed with scoring thrusts of 64 and 2 yards. The closest the Aggies got to pay dirt was on a drive to the Tiger 34-yard line only to be halted when Linebacker, Myron Hawkins, intercepted a pass at the Tiger 34. Fullback, Donnie Lyda, rounded out the Tiger scoring on a 30-yard jaunt off left Guard. Gid Riddle and Bobby Worley combined to kick 4 P. A. T.s between them. TIGERS TRAMPLE HUNTSVILLE 27-0 The Tigers celebrated their homecoming not only by remaining unbeaten and unscored on in five games but also by completely outclassing a strong Huntsville team. The Tigers wasted no time getting started when on the first play from scrimmage Harry Littleton broke away off tackle and sped 67 yards for a touchdown. O'Dell Franklin, a sophomore, replaced Littleton when the star halfback received a charly- horse on his leg. The hard-running sophomore turned in a sensational performance by scoring two touchdowns on a 20-yard run and the other when he caught a deflected pass on the goal line. Joe Crawford, left end for the Tigers, got into the scoring column when he caught a 26-yard pass from quarterback Tommy Smith and dove over the goal line with a Huntsville defender hanging on. The whole Tiger defensive unit played extremely fine ball but those cited for their play were Captain Myron Hawkins, Pat Waldrop, Larry Busby, Johnny Hefner, Ronald Stancil, and Gid Riddle, who also played a fine game on offense. Bobby Worley converted on three of four attempts for the P. A. T.s. TIGERS SWAMP SCOTTSBORO 27-6 The mighty Tigers halted one of the state's powerhouses, Scottsboro, in one of the top pfep games of the year, it took a Tiger fumble to set up the first touchdown scored against Gadsden in six games. Quarterback Pat Trammell sneaked over from the one after the Wildcats recovered a fumble on the Gadsden 34-yard line. Gadsden had scored earlier when Jerald Reynolds snake-hipped his way 20 yards for the first score of the game with Bobby.Worley converting. After Scottsboro's six-pointer in the third quarter the Tigers finally began to show their offensive might by tallying once again in the third quarter and twice in the fourth period. Terrel Wallen, Tiger bull-like fullback, scored twice on thrusts of five and four yards. Reynolds chalked up his second T. D. of the game as he sneaked over from the one, climaxing a 40yard drive. Besides those players mentioned the Tigers had standouts in Johnny Hefner, tackle; Myron Hawkins, center; Pat Waldrop, tackle,- Harry Littleton, halfback; and Gid Riddle, halfback. GADSDEN DEFEATS BULLDOGS 26-0 The Gadsden Tigers emerged victorious over the Anniston Bulldogs for the first time since 1953 as they completely outplayed and outclassed them in a contest marred by a third quarter free-for-all. The Tigers couldn't get their offense moving too well in the first half and didn't score until three minutes before intermission when a Littleton-to-Stancil aerial connected for six points. In the third quarter Terrel Wallen crashed through the Bulldog defense from the five-yard line for the Tigers second T. D. of the game. Following the Bengal's second touchdown Wallen blooped an onside kick after which he and an Anniston player scrambled for the ball thus starting a riot which the Gadsden and Anniston fans and players will long remember. The brawl lasted for about ten minutes with both teams swinging wildly but not doing too much damage—thanks to face masks and helmets. The interruption seemed to fire up the Tigers as they began to roll with speedster Harry Littleton going 69 yards for a six pointer. Worley converted and the Tigers led 20-0. Littleton passed to end Carl Cook for the last touchdown of the game, in the fourth quarter. Final score Gadsden 26 Anniston 0. GADSDEN OVERPOWERS SANSOM 21-0 The Annual meeting between these inter-city teams proved as exciting as they have been in the past. The Sansom Rebels were bent on upsetting the Tigers and held them scoreless for the first half. After intermission the Tigers displayed their great offensive ability as they exploded for three touchdowns before the final gun. Harry Littleton accounted for the first score on a 15-yard jaunt around right end climaxing a 75-yard drive after the second-half kickoff. Dynamic Gid Riddle reeled off long runs and finally shoved the ball over from the one after the Rebels could do nothing upon receiving the kickoff following Little- ton's T. D. In the fourth quarter Littleton again displayed his All-State ability as he breezed off left tackle and didn't stop until he had completed a 69-yard touchdown run. Linebackers Hawkins, Busby, and Brown,- tackles Hefner and Waldrop; ends Stancil and Wallen,- and guard Bobby Lambert played exceptionally good on defense as did Riddle and Littleton. The extra points were made good on all three occasions by Bobby Worley. GADSDEN SLOSHES BY DECATUR 12-0 A rescheduled contest with the Red Raiders of Decatur was played in one of the hardest downpours and on one of the sloppest fields that a football game could be played. An all day and night rain left the field in the appearance of a lake. Footing for both sides was practically impossible. Despite the slippery • ball the Tigers did an exceptionally good job of keeping possession. After a scoreless first quarter, halfback Harry Littleton broke into the clear and sped 35 yards for the first score and the Tigers led 6-0 at the half. In the third quarter the Tigers kicked off to the Red Raiders and after an exchange of punts Gads- den recovered a Decatur fumble and shortly thereafter Littleton covered 24 yards for his second T. D. of the game to end the scoring. Final Score: Gadsden—12 Decatur—0 CHARITY BOWL GADSDEN - 27 SANSOM - 0 The Gadsden Tigers, playing in the Charity Bowl for the first time since 1951, had no intention of losing as thfcy tromped a fired-up Rebel team 27-0. The Tigers wasted no time getting started as Gid Riddle found a hole at left tackle and outran the defenders on a 76 yard touchdown jaunt. In the second quarter Jerald Reynolds, Tiger quarterback, sneaked over from the one and the Tigers led at intermission 14-0. At the half Coach Jerry Watford was presented a new car and his assistants, sizeable money gifts in appreciation for their splendid work. Halfback Harry Littleton scored the Bengal's third T. D. as he ran over three defenders on a 7 yard scoring thrust. The fourth senior in the backfield, Donnie Lyda, registered the final six points of the game on a one yard plunge. Bobby Worley converted on three of four attempts. MAHLON ALBRIGHT Sophomore End 6' 160 lbs. RUDY CONNOR Junior End 6' 165 lbs. CARL COOK Junior End 5'10 160 lbs. SID WILSON Junior End 5' 11 160 lbs. The Tigers' 1958 Baseball Team, under the fine direction of Coach Bill Abston, had one of its finest seasons since Coach Abston came to Gadsden High. The diamond squad lost only two games, and they were two well-fought games against the defending state champions, the Emma Sansom Rebels. The Tigers would probably have won the county championship easily if they had not had some tough breaks with centerfielder Jerald Reynolds re-injuring a football-knee and pitcher Joe Elrod's being ruled ineligeible after four games. 1958 SCHEDULE Gadsden — 8 Gaston — 1 Gadsden — 3 Sansom — 4 Gadsden — 12 Walnut Grove — 0 Gadsden — 3 Etowah — 2 Gadsden — 11 Etowah — 3 Gadsden — 6 Southside - - 3 Gadsden — 10 Southside — 3 Gadsden — 15 Altoona — 0 Gadsden — 6 Altoona — 0 Gadsden —- 1 Sansom — 2 Gadsden — 6 Sardis — 1 [ 220 ] GID RIDDLE Senior Pitcher JERALD REYNOLDS Senior Centerfielder MYRON HAWKINS Senior First Baseman TED HAWK BILLY KING PAUL PRITCHETT Senior Catcher Senior Second Baseman Senior Left-Fielder JOE ELROD BOBBY COHELEY TERRELL WALLEN Junior Pitcher Junior Shortstop Junior Left-Fielder BASEBALL LARRY COTNEY Sophomore Right-Fielder BOEBY RAINS Sophomore Third Baseman WINFRED WHITE Senior Catcher BOBBY McCURLEY JERRY TUMLIN MIKE DRAKE Junior Second Baseman Junior Pitcher Sophomore First Baseman [ 222 ] JERRY WATFORD Golf Coach LARRY CAMPBELL Junior Third Man BARRY LOVEMAN Sophomore Fourth Man BOBBY WHITE Senior Second Man STATE GOLF CHAMPS BILL ROBERTSON Sophomore First Man Mount Fujiyama is the highest and most difficult peak to reach in Japan. - • «15 i .ie J 1 J JL f v - rg .1 ♦. „ • ' • •41 ft C 4XL LEONE PRUETT r 228 SENIOR BANQUE1 Class officers friend The conjur Woman greets Seniors at door.
