cSznLon. (2ta±± cz)-fi±toxij As we, the Class of 55 , reluctantly prepare to leave Gadsden High School, we leave all our good times to the many classes who will follow us but take with us the fond memories of the four wonderful years we spent here. We entered this school with all the ambitions and dreams of every class. We got off to a good start by coming in with a red ribbon for our Freshman float, but we fell a little short on the Talent Show and Stunt Night that year. As Sophomores we were ready to go, and all worked together on our float for which we received another red ribbon. The most thrilling event of that year was the moment the judges awarded us second place in Stunt Night. Suddenly we were upperclassmen. As Juniors we learned that together we could go almost anywhere we wanted and again united forces to win another red ribbon on our float. We buckled down and came through with Blue Horizon which won second place, but we gave the winner a real chase for that blue ribbon. Sally Clark, our beauty for two years, was as beautiful as ever and although she was not queen of the school we chose her as our own little queen. Then came our big Senior year. We started this year off with the biggest bang of all. In our magazine campaign we topped the school's record and sold $9,400. We ranked second in the whole South. With this victory under our belt we were out to get those blue ribbons. Don Wilson, who had pulled us over many a rough spot in past years, was heading us as President of our class. The first ribbon we won was for the float. Along with that blue ribbon we had another winner — Homecoming Queen, Sally Clark. We fell a little short on the Talent Show, but we intend to make up for if on Stunt Night. Although at this time Shunt Night is a thing of the future, we have great plans and hope to add another blue ribbon to our collection. Sally will be our beauty again this year and we all hope that she will be crowned Queen Sally . Now as we prepare to leave these Hallowed Halls , we look into a bright future, but even that brightness cannot make these wonderful memories grow dim. We hope that we have contributed something to this school, which has known so many Senior classes, and hope you will always remember the CLASS OF 1955.
