Our Freshman year, we won second place in the Talent Show and tied for second place in Stunt Night. We won first place in the Talent Show our Sophomore year. This year we really "mapped up" because we won first place on both the Float and Talent Show. Although our class has not had too much luck in the Stunt Night competition, we will be working harder than ever next year. The members of our class have always taken an active part in sports and other school activities. The band consists of many Juniors. . Ideas and suggestions of students are carried to the Student Council by a homeroom representative who is elected by popular vote. The 1952-53 Studrfrit Council has been one of the most active ever at Gadsden High. The Student Court has been one of this years outstanding achievements. Besides their regular duties of planning as- sembly programs, conducting school elections, and running a book store, this year's council has sold safety tape and ties to raise money for school activities. The Tigers were plagued with iniuries all season and couldn't field the whole starting eleven, except in the first game. But in spite of all this, the student body was behind the team all the way. The first game, the fans saw the best football in the state when the coaches were able to field the starting eleven.
