Here Feb. 19 Maple Rapids .,....... 23 Fulton ....... There From cm organized gym class of thirty girls, a varsity team was chosen to play on official schedule of seven games. These games were played with Crystal, Maple Rapids, Merrill, and Ashley. The girls enjoyed a very successful year by winning a good percentage of their games. Probably the most thrilling contest of the year was played at Crystal when the Fulton girls' came from behind to win 12-10. The score at the half stood 8-2 in favor of Crystal. Next year's team will miss Carolyn Lowrey's ole fightin' spirit, Kathryn Shuttleworth's passing attack, Iune Wright's versatility, and Nila Howe and Ruth Baker's faithfulness.

Lettermen irom 1944 who went ,out were Wayne Zittel, Don Acker. lack Pomeroy. Bob Zamarron, Ioe Halmo. Wendell Somers. Tom Zamarron, Stuart Snider. Dee Cooper. Dick Stonemun. and Russell Smith. Dick Troub, a letterman oi 1943, also decided to come out again this year. We were all glad to have him back on the team because ol his punting ability. We started the season without a coach. Mr.. Luck helped us some with the coaching at the beginning of the season. Later we were able to get Earnie Dilts to act as a regular coach and although this was his iirst experience in coaching football and he didn't know the boys' abilities. he was q le to bring the boys a long way. Thiswwas evidenced by the improved brandot football which they played at'the end ot the season. Q As is shown by the scores? we did not have a successful season. However. the boys gained a lot ot experience and kept the game alive lor Fulton. Boys who received letters this year are: Gerald Cook, Gar- old Browne, Perry Clayes, Alden Akin.
