I did. Found Lefty Pittman and Chewing Gum Kid Painter in a hot game of Old Maid. They said they hadn't seen anybody come in, however, they said that the mysterious stranger had been carrying a violin case. Iheard a weird noise. Didn't know whether it was human or not. Looked and saw Sarah Pierce, Marcia Goodstein, Sandra Snodderly, and Vivian Turner quarteting, Rollin' Down the Mountain. Pierce said with a raised eyebrow, Saw Sunny Hines shagging down through here a minute ago, Earl Ogle creeping afterf, Drouling Goodstein said, I saw a violin case with blond hair go thatawayf' Went thataway. Stumbled over the richest beggar in town, John R. Spainhower, with his accomplice, Georgia Worsham. They said that they had seen a violin case with blond hair go into the Y.M.C.A. There standing in the middle of the floor was Emily Remine and her magic Violin. Asked what was in her violin case. She asked why 1 wanted to know. I said, Just wanta get the facts, mam. I looked in the case. Just what I had suspected all along-melted ice cream. Through a tip from Wilson, we got a lead on Carol Flash'-' Pitts, ringleader of the notorious Space Patrol, who had been suspected of trying to smuggle laughs in'Geometry Class for some time. Her co-pilot, Ten- Star-General Joyce The-Last-Name-Can't-Be-Spelled-Read-Or-Pronounced was a shady-looking charac- ter too. I took them in on a 407. 12:06 Got a call from Muck Town. Fat Man Dyer and his band were disturbing the peace. Some of the band mernbers were: Barbara Gaut-tuba, Becky Slack-bass drumg Norman Shannon -piccolog Bob Shipley-chimes, Bill Lawson-guitar, and Sunny Hines-triangle. Bruce and Bernard Clifton insisted on giving us a sample of their famed hoochy-koochy dance, Double Troublef, before we booked 'em on a 407 and the Black Miriahi' came, with Neal Busch at the wheel. 12:07 We returned to headquarters-time sure seemed to have passed quickly- we found we had gotten every thing but the facts, just the facts, and we began putting 419, 3044, 303, 206, 315, and 4-07 together --they all added up to just one thing -the class of 1954!
