Q PKOPHECY It was a beautiful spring day, and I was in the study hall trying to study. I couldn't concentrate. It seemed that the trees in front of the building, with their green foliage, were much more interesting than who was president during the World War. A slight breeze came up and the leaves began to flut- ter. I watched them until my eyes grew tired, then I closed them for a moment. Suddenly I seemed to be sailing through the spacious firmament in an aeroplane. I became dizzy and my head was spinning. The steward- ess told everyone to fasten his belt because there was a storm, and the pilot, Jimmy Krieger, was going to land. Jimmy Krieger! Where had I heard of that name before? Oh yes, now I remember. He had been a student back in Fulton. We made a forced landing, but it was impossible to tell whereg the storm was so great. However, it soon cleared and I saw a city in the distance. As the plane was not in CDH- dition for flying, I decided to pass the time by going to the city. As I neared it I saw a signboard which read ULos Angeles, 2 miles.W 'Well, there were worse places to be stranded. As I entered the city, I heard a newsboy shouting HExtra! Extra! Read all about the president's latest act.u I called the newsboy to me and lo and behold, he was none other than Danny Mohr, another of the class of '4O. His voice really had improved over those days in Physics class when it was impossible to hear him in the back of the TODM. I bought a paper and looked at the headlines. They read, NPresident Lyle George Resists Attack from QMars.U Well! Well! Small but mighty, that was Lyle. As I read further I saw that his private secretary, Frances Robasser, had reported this incident. Her commercial course really came in handy. I Next, I turned to the editorial page and there was an article signed, Frances Baker--Editor. So Frances had be- come editor of a newspaper. Let me see, she was also editor of the nFultonianN, '40. She had a good start. I put my paper under my arm and went cn. I came to a theater and the names WRechtyne and Hyten were in lights ten feet high. It seemed they were on a personal appearance tour. I went inside. There were Florence and Herthel. Hollywood Hite had made good his ambition and Florence al- ways did have the looks. Florence told me that Jeanette Estel was acting as her personal aid. The curtain was falling. A between acts attraction was the appearance of a great concert pianist. She came on the sta e and sat down st a grand piano. Everyone applauded. Hergface loeked'familiar, and as she started rippling music like Paderewski, I knew that she was Wilma Krieger. After the show I went backstage to greet her. Fulton Hi Who has ever left Fulton Hi Without dropping a tear or leaving a sigh? Who can leave friends, classmates, and the hall, And lightly forget memories of them all. Very few students have left it with joy Whether young people, or just girl or boy. Very few students have ever gone out From the dear old school with a gay farewell shout. Who can forget the two oak trees? The only shade in our memories. The lawn, though uneven and rough, Afford us playground enough.
