Kaztors Continue Winning Ways The Kaztors drama club continued their winning ways during the 1969-70 school year. In addition to presenting the junior and senior class plays, the group presented a contest one-act and sent ten individual speech contestants to the U. of N. Fine Arts Festival in Lincoln. The Kaztors reaped many awards in all contests they participated in which included the Loup City Invitational, Doane Invitational, Lou-Platte Conference, District, and Fine Arts. The club was sponsored by Mr. Don Rabbe, with Miss Connie Babcock assisting. Junior Carol Brower was chosen as the best supporting actress for her role as Mrs, Banks inthe Kaztor production of Barefoot In The Park, The Kaztors fared well in individual competition during the year, winning many superior ratings in speech events. Senior Judy Robertson was one of the few high school students in the state asked to perform at Fine Arts, s Steve Nelson and Debbie Nesbitt were recognized by the Kaztors as the top actor and actress of the year for their lead roles as Paul and Cory Bratter in the Junior Class production of Barefoot In The Park. Steve was chosen as the top dramatist of the year by the group, Wendel Potter, shown below, was chosen the best supporting actor for his role as Victor Velasco in the same production, Pictured below are some of the outstanding individuals 1, to r., Judy Maly, Rosemary Lesiak, Diane Hebda, Sandy Kramer, Judy Robertson, and Diane Shotkoske,

Girls Glee took top honors for the second year in a row at the In- vitational Music Contest held in Fullerton, April 24-25. The group was the only Class B entry to gain the coveted Superior rating. Due to the large size of this year's group, practices were held in two sections, a freshman-sophomore section and a junior- senior section. Accompanists for the groups were Dorene Hebda and Beth Bard. In addi- tion to contest competition, the Girls Glee performed at the Christmas concert in December.
