Mewmaw, M, Hunze- ker, R, Ksiazek, S, Sprague, J, Thomas, T, Horacek, G, Palmer, T, Imus, T, Roewert, R, Oakley, F, Wozniak, R, Zaruba, G, Santin, Mr. Barry Miller, head coach, Mr. Dean Petricek, ass't coach, Mr. Rich Brengelman, ass't coach, Gridmen Post 8-1 Season Mark Warrior football fortunes blossomed in 1969, Coach Barry Miller's gridders posted a sparkling 8-1 record, F.H.S.'s best since 1949, The team's 6-1 Lou-Platte Conference mark was good enough for co- championship honors, Returning lettermen ironed out offensive wrinkles which plagued the '68 squad, as the team outscored op- ponents 280-54, shutting out three opponents and limiting three other foes to a single touchdown, The season's only disappoint- ment occurred on September 18, when the Warriors lost at Ravenna, 16-0, It proved to be a costly defeat, as it kept F.H.S. from winning the L.P.C, crown outright. Individual efforts were also apparent during the '69 season, Senior tailback Tim Roewert was credited with 1,211 offensive yards while scoring 98 points. His per- formance gained him All-State Honorable Mention inthe Omaha World-Herald, Cap- tain Ed Dubas was the team defensive leader with 99 tackles, Senior center Terry Imus was credited with 73 tackles, Dubas won the weekly Head-Hunter defensive award four times, Imus wonthe award three times, 1969 SEASON REVIEW Opponent Loup City 6 Ravenna 16 Centura Genoa Shelton Wood River Gibbon David City Burwell Denotes Lou-Platte Conference Games Coach Barry Miller huddles with senior quarter- back George Palmer during a time-out at Loup City.
