H i) N 0 R A R Y Mr. Gerber Is Athletic Speaker A large crowd attended the Athletic Banquet held April 1 in the school audito- rium. Featured speaker was Mr, Dick Gerber, a 1957 graduate of F.H.S, and a freshman football mentor at Hastings High, Mr. Gerber urged the athletes to try just as hard in academics as inathletics, stressing that the day of the blockhead in college sports was gone, The F-Club presented its annual Honorary F ' Award to Mr. Gary Some of the chief participating speakers for the Athletic Banquet were 1, to r, Mr. Dick Gerber, keynote speaker; Mr. Dean Petricek, head basketball coach; and Mr. Harold Mr. Gary Campproudly displays the Hon- orary F Award presented to him by F-Club President George Palmer. Mr, Camp was given the award in recognition of his support of Warrior athletics, Camp, F.H.S, English instructor, for his support of all school athletics. Coaches Barry Miller and Dean Petricek introduced the members of the athletic squads and thanked all townspeople in attendance for their support. Miss Minnie Hendrickson, Pep Club Sponsor, thanked all Pep Club members for their cooperation and work, The event was sponsored by the Fullerton Lions Club. Judy Robertson and Ed Dubas were crowned Sweetheart and Beau at the an- nual F,F,A,-F.H.A, Dance held February 14, Judy, Ed, Are Sweetheart And Beau A typical Valentine's Day setting was evident in the high school auditorium, as Judy Robertson and Ed Dubas were crowned Sweetheart and Beau of the F.F.A.-F.H.A. Dance, A large crowd turned out to view the festivities and dance to the music of Omaha's Blue Lites' ' group, All decora- tions were the traditional red and white, In addition to Judy, other candidates were Janeene Davis, Kathy McCray, Sue Schweitz, and Lorraine Zaruba, Beau candidates in addition to Ed were Terry Imus, Ken Pro- soski, Paul Wozny, and Allan Zumbrunn, Mrs, Irene Kula, F.H.A. sponsor, and Mr, Harold Dissmeyer, F.F.A. advisor, were faculty sponsors of the affair. Couples dance in the romantic Valentine's Day atmosphere, Dorene Hebda, Wendel Potter, Connie Frame, and Steve Nelson enjoy refreshments while visiting during a break of the dance. Seniors Tour Chicago Vicinity The Class of '70 took their long- awaited sneak trip to the Chicagoland area May 15-16. The trip featured a bus ride to Lincoln, a Burlington rail ride through Iowa and Illinois, a tour of the Chicago area, and a return trip to Fuller- ton. Major sights in Chicago visited by the group included the Great Lakes Naval Yard, Field Museum, Chinatown, a shopping cen- ter, and numerous downtown sights. Most of the Seniors were obviously tired upon their return to classes the following Mon- day. Faculty sponsors of the group were Mr. Leigh Metcalf, and Mr. and Mrs. Don Rabbe. Janeene Davis, Jane Morgan, and Tim Horacek view the strange sights of Chicago from the train upon arriving in the big city.
