Diann Dubas Is Homecoming Queen The crowning of Senior Diann Dubas highlighted 1969 Homecoming activities at Fullerton High on October 10, Diann was crowned during halftime activities of the F .H.S.-Shelton football game, a contest won by the Warriors 28-6, Students spent Homecoming week dec- orating the hallways and preparing class floats, promoting the spirit that the War- riors needed for a victory, During the af- ternoon of game day, a parade was held through the downtown district, where the Homecoming Queen candidates and the floats were presented, After the crowning of Diann as Homecoming Queen, it was an- nounced that the Junior Class had won the float competition and the Senior Class had won the hallway decorating contest. Members of the jury were townspeople, faculty members, and students chosen from the audience, The Senior Class Play Night of Jan- uary 16th'' was presented by the Kaztors December 17, The courtroom drama was unique in many respects, The 20-member cast depicting attorneys, court workers, and witnesses, staged the production on the auditorium floor, Jury members were chosen from the audience seated on two sides of the performers. The jury decided the verdict which defendant Karen Andre should receive, The play was highlighted by a spirited duel between the defense and prosecuting attorneys, played by Ed Dubas and Steve Nelson, An ironic twist occurred when two different juries arrived at dif- ferent verdicts. The matinee jury gave an innocent verdict; the evening jury issued a guilty ruling. F-Club President George Palmer crowns Senior Jane Morgan as the 1970 Basketball Queen, Looking on are Es- cort Mark Hunzeker and candidate and escort, Janeene Davis and Tim Horacek, Senior Jane Morgan was crowned the F.H.S. Basketball Queen for 1970 at the annual Basketball Dance held March 7, Jane was chosen from a field of senior candi- dates that included Janeene Davis, Sandi Nash, Patti Mann, Cyndy Wetovick, and Linda Whitney, The F-Club, sponsors of the event, presented Jane with the traditional crown and bouquet of roses, The dance, which was well-attended, featured the music of The Blue Lites, The event climaxed a successful cage sea- son, in which the Warriors took District honors, Jane Morgan, 1970 Basketball Queen, is shown above with her escort, Mark Hunzeker, BELOW: F.H.S, students and guests dance to the sounds ofthe Blue Lites at the annual Basketball Dance,
