Juniors Present ’65 Broadway Hit The Junior Class sponsored the Kaztor production of the 1965 Broadway hit Bare- foot In The Park October 29, The play depicted the comic problems of a newly- married lawyer and his young bride. Steve Nelson and Debbi Nesbitt played the roles of the young couple, Paul andCorie Bratter, The setting was constructed realistically, portraying a New York town-house flat, Supporting roles were played by Wendel Potter (Victor Valasco), Carol Brower (Mrs, Banks), Dennis Gabriel (telephone repairman), and Paul Haynes (deliveryman), The play, which was made into a motion picture after its Broadway run, was the first of its type at F.H.S. and met with an enthusiastic and favorable response from the audience, Mr. Don Rabbe and Miss Connie Babcock were the faculty di- rectors of the production, Victor Valasco (Wendel Potter) and Corie ham it up after having a bit too much to drink at a Hungarian restaurant, The outing completely exausted Paul and Mrs. Banks, Paul (Steve Nelson) proposes a toast with his wife Corie (Debbi Nesbitt) and mother-in-law Mrs, Banks (Carol Brower), Corie is shocked to find ultra-conservative Paul changed to a state of drunkedness and disorder, a state which was promoted by a lover's spat the previous evening,

Members of the jury were townspeople, faculty members, and students chosen from the audience, The Senior Class Play Night of Jan- uary 16th'' was presented by the Kaztors December 17, The courtroom drama was unique in many respects, The 20-member cast depicting attorneys, court workers, and witnesses, staged the production on the auditorium floor, Jury members were chosen from the audience seated on two sides of the performers. The jury decided the verdict which defendant Karen Andre should receive, The play was highlighted by a spirited duel between the defense and prosecuting attorneys, played by Ed Dubas and Steve Nelson, An ironic twist occurred when two different juries arrived at dif- ferent verdicts. The matinee jury gave an innocent verdict; the evening jury issued a guilty ruling. Two prosecution witnesses were Mrs, Hutchins, (Sue Schweitz) and Dr. Kirkland (Dennis Gabriel), AT LEFT: Karen Andre (Jane Morgan) pleads with intruder Larry Regan (Steve Voichahoske) in an attempt to keep him from revealing information, BELOW: District Attorney Flint (Ed Dubas), left, and Defense Attorney Stevens (Steve Nelson) engage in a heated argument,
