A large number of students enrolled in both Art I and Art II classes during the year. Curriculum is the foundation of any school system. During the 1968-69 school year, the curriculum at F.H.S. was not only expanded but also given aclose examination in efforts to further strengthen the foun- dation” of the system. In addition to the normal required subjects in the English, science, and social science departments, students had choices in many elective fields which included vocational agriculture, home economics, and driver education. The fine arts area of the curriculum was given an added boost when extensive classes were added in art, speech, and dramatics. The 1968-69 school year was the first full year in which the expanded fine arts program operated. In April the curriculum was examined and evaluated by the North Central Accre- ditation team. This coincided with faculty and administrative evaluations made during the school year, which were in turn pre- sented to the team.
