Surrounded by members of the opposing team, Garry Knopik snatches a pass. At a pre-season bonfire, Coach Barry Miller predicts a successful season, The pep rallies, the games, the honor of being on the all-conference team -- these are only very small parts of a successful football team. The glory is all too brief. Most of a football player's life is not in the spotlight, but on the practice field de- veloping physical endurance and perfection plays. Football is hard work; success does not come easily.
