Ehlers Serves Third Year as Head Coach Coach Jerry Beckmann joined the coaching staff this year while serving his third as a member of the F.I-LS. faculty. Coach Ray Ehlers resumed his third season as the head basketball tutor. The coaches had to form practically a whole new team after last year's team was riddled through graduation. As the season progressed, a number of sophomores gained poise and earned good berths on the varsity. This is in evidence of the six sophomores who earned the right to wear the varsity suits. Two Juniors earned varsity berths along with five seniors. Student managers for this year's basketball team were Larry Grotelueschen and John Wragge. Basketball Coaches Ray Ehlers and Jerry Beckmann get suits ready for one of the home games. John Rice Q25 goes in for a two pointer in the Newman Grove game.
