14 ludenls Meet Challenge While Taking Dean Bard and Patsy Voichahoske complete a typical Trigonometry problem. For students enrolled in college prepara- tory courses, many complex mathematics and upper lab sciences are required. Freshmen may begin by enrolling in Algebra and pro- gressing to Trigonometry. Among the sciences, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry furnish practical student lab experiences to parallel knowledge presented in textbooks. ln Biology, the study of plants and animals, students learn by first hand dissection of both. In Physics, the study of matter and energy, students become familiar with the forces that govern these compo- nents while Chemistry deals with the forms of matter and the changes which they under- go.
