THE HOOP gray ha1r was gfOW1Dg on Coach Rozdalovskys head after a cold Fullerton team finally found the hoop 1n the last two mmutes and snatched what had looked hke a sure vlctory for Aurora, 31 30 A S1ZZl1I1g hot Albxon team flashed by a mxghty cold Warnor f1VC to the tune of 47 26 Fullerton then traveled to Gothenburg and the f1ne play of Rlchard Wh1ted and Carol Luedtke kept the tall Gothenburg quxntet guessmg but the Warnors fell The Warnors won the f1rst round of the Dls tr1ct Toumament at Central Clty agalnst Ravenna 36 35 1n the last 27 seconds when Bob Russell swxshed a long one handed shot from almost the center of the floor to txe up the game and Dlck Matlueson sank the w1nn1ng free throw wlth only 5 seconds left to play The next nlght Fullerton led by center Lyle Holmes spanked St Bonaventure by a score of 37 26 On the thxrd and fmal mght the Warnors were undoubtedly the coldest of the season and for three quarters scored only 13 po1nts Then as the fxnal quarter started the Wamors flashed to l1fe and cut a 21 polnt margm 1n half but thxs for the loslng Warnors was Carroll Zaruba wxth 6 pomts On the whole, the Warnors turned m a fme season w1nn1ng 11 games and losmg 7 They played 1n the fmals of the Class B DlStf1Ct Toumament and recelved a second place trophy Page 31 5647. l was not enough as Albion won, 37f25.
