Page Eighteen To The Present Page Through the maze of this stupid stuff- Foreword, faculty, dedication, tree , To this-the Seniors. Faculties are such necessary thingsg From these teachers we take intangibilities To mold personalities. The foreword-necessary? Well, maybe. It's an effort to share Tchogeerrah With classes from '71 to '39, Classes numbering sixtyfnine. Those men who died and are now a treeg Why do they call it the first World War When we hope there'll never be another? Pictures of junior and Senior High, Revered institutions of learning. The school board fsometimes it must be boredj. Mr. Klassy's message -- Youth, unemployment, college. Why do they try to make us think Life's a struggle? We know it's Nothing but a game with lots of strife. Are these things as important as the seniors? To Miss Leinfelder, with all our ally Even the list of names Courteously called a staff fAlth0ugh it comforts nofonejg These things are not as important as-the seniors. Then why should they not come first? These ambitious, loquacious, Vivacious, fugacious young men and women,- Girls and boys-people. Why? This celebrity 'en masse' must be properly introduced And preliminaries being traditional things, The grand conclusion is simply this: What has gone before fFor formality's sakej Introduces the seniors, the class of '40- This annual's responsibility and response.
