During the past year, the medical department has indeed been busy. We saw and treated 5,049 outpatients as the fiscal year of 1966 ran its course. Serious illness orinjury was at a minimum with I . only 28 inpatients over the whole year. 46 patients were sent to ' Tripler Army Hospital. The FRONTIER crew along with the many destroyers serviced during the year received 453 physical exams. The men receiving limited services numbered '4,468. Believe it or not, the crew survived through 2,477 immunizations without losing a man. I believe that the doctor should receive an honorary celebrity award for autographing 3,909 prescriptions. Our laboratory techni- cian made good use of his microscope while servicing 2,461 labora- tory tests. Our X-ray technician shot 1,104 X-rays While 40 EKGS were given.
